Very last minute, I found someone to take my shift at work so I could join my parents for a Flatonian adventure at our relatively new ranch. I love escaping away from the city to explore our seventyfive acres. After breakfast at Cracker Barrel, um. . .YUM, we arrived in Flatonia around nine or so. I began taking pictures (that's about as much work as I do) while my mother & father cut the grass, vacuumed the house, built shelves, cleared vines, sprayed bug killer, etc.
Me hard at work:
Then for lunch, we drove eight miles to Moulton for their annual festival (thing? idk the name). Sausage on a stick, live (polka?) music, antique tractor show, and carnival rides. Had it not been five thousand degrees outside, we would've stayed much longer. Though, the hostile looks I received from the locals were also reason enough to leave. I thought cowboy boots were more common in the country.
Then it was backkkk to "work"
Worked so hard that I haddd to take a nice two hour nap on the porch of the house. Such a hassle. But honestly, Hunter wasn't there to explore with me so the ranch wasn't as spectacular as normal. Nonetheless, I cannot wait till we have air conditioning and then I can invite everyone up to play! And all together, we will go to Dairy Queen and have oreo + caramel blizzards (my dinner tonight). Does that sound wonderful to you?
