We crossed the sand dunes, ate dinner in a small California border town, and then we entered a dry flat space. We aimed for Salvation Mountain. Truly, it's located in a nowhere place. But well...that's not entirely fair. The people of Niland would disagree with me. And...Slab City is very much a place.
