Wilderness

Six days of hiking. Six days without a shower. Six days to form beautiful dreads. Six days of using a BIFF (bathroom in forest floor). Six days in the Colorado Wilderness. Six days in Rio Grande National Park. Six days to form memories. Six days to create lasting friendships. Six days to abandon pride and personal strength. Six days to foster a lifelong relationship with God.

In 2009, I went on a Younglife Wilderness trip with several of my best friends from high school. Last week, I repeated the journey with six high school who I have come to love, as well as, two wondrous guides, two inspiring leaders, and six more gorgeous high school girls. During the trip, I took over a thousand photos. Images and words and experiences from the trip will fill several upcoming posts. Enjoy!
