Art is Not a Thing

To start, Picasso once said
Painting is just another way of keeping a diary.

So when I stole some of kat's ACL pictures, I stumbled upon the following photographs and pieces of art. They are by kathryn of course and I am in love with them. She'll probably murder me for displaying them here, but she can't readily shove a stake through my heart since I'm several hundred miles away. So deal with it Kathryn.

Speaking of stumbling upon things, here are random pictures that I took awhile ago. . .

Okay soooo just kiddingg. . .
These are actually paintings by hyper-realistic painter Robert Bernardi, but let's be honest, you thought they were realistic photographs. Just another one of the treasures one can find while stumbling around on the internet. Anyways, I'll probably do some frequent updating this weekend so stay tuned.

sidenote: this week, Mr. Smith, my past art history teacher, is bringing his class up to visit the blanton museum. I haven't been lately myself, but supposedly they have a wonderful exhibit featuring works by Monet, Manet, Pissarro, Degas, and Turner. The chance to see works by these acclaimed painters so close to home is extraordinary.

To conclude: Art is not a thing; it is a way. ~Elbert Hubbard
